 owers will do a live reading of Destiny is Mine! And autograph personal co
 pies of the book. The book makes for the perfect birthday\, holiday or jus
 t because gift and is now available for purchase on the shelves at Interab
 ang!   \n \n History of the Creed:   \n \n Written in 1984\, the St. Phili
 p’s Creed has inspired hope\, faith and invigorated passion in all that ha
 ve spoken it for many years. Through vibrant illustrations\, Destiny is Mi
 ne! encourages children to persevere with a message that the sky is the li
 mit if you just put your mind in it .    \n \n Meet the Author:   \n \n Dr
 . Terry J. Flowers serves as the Perot Family Headmaster of St. Philip's S
 chool and Community Center\, where he started in service as principal in 1
 983 . Dr. Flowers grew up on Chicago's South Side\, ultimately finding a c
 alling to work with young children. The titles of his three master's degre
 es attest to his commitment to education : Early Childhood Education (Univ
 ersity of Northern Iowa)\, Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Admi
 nistration (Columbia University). He also completed a doctorate in Educati
 on at the Teacher's College of Columbia University in 1995.   \n \n His ex
 periences as an educator in tough urban communities shaped his belief in t
 he need for holistic efforts to address the erosion of inner-city neighbor
 hoods . Dr. Flowers leadership led to the establishment of curriculum for
  St. Philip's which emphasizes academic excellence\, a positive self-image
  and a faith-based focus for life. Alongside the strong academic program i
 s a multi-faceted community center offering a wealth of social services an
 d community development activities .   \n \n About St. Philip’s School and
  Community Center ?    \n \n St. Philip's School and Community Center is a
  private Christian school in southern Dallas serving over 260 students in
