The fighting Canterbury Episcopal School Cougars traveled to Plainview, Texas, near Lubbock, on Tuesday in order to face their playoff competition, the Plainview Christian Academy Eagles. The Cougars won 54-43.

The game was well played and very well matched. Although the Cougars were behind going into the 4th period, the team played hard to pull off a great win. It was a very close game until the last 4 minutes of play. Canterbury's high school boys are a well disciplined and well conditioned young team.

It is not unusual for the Cougars to show their tenacity in the late fourth period. That is why it is exciting to watch the Canterbury Episcopal School's basketball team play.

Canterbury has now advanced to the Elite 8. The next game will be played on Saturday (February 27) at 5:30pm. Lakehill Preparatory School will host. We would love to have our community come show support to our basketball team! Way to go, Cougars!
