The DeSoto Arts Commission is pleased to host a benefit performance of the musical You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown presented by the SMU Meadows School of the Arts and directed by Sara Romersberger at the DeSoto Corner Theater located at 211 E. Pleasant Run Road, DeSoto, Texas on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 7pm.

Based on the Comic Strip “PEANUTS” by Charles M Schultz, book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, Charlie Brown is considered a "good man" by his friends, but can't seem to win the heart of the Little Red-Haired Girl, nor his friend Lucy, or her crush, the piano-playing Schroeder. Meanwhile Snoopy and Linus daydream and the rest of the friends battle with kites, school, baseball and misunderstandings before finally coming to realize what makes them truly happy.

Tickets for this benefit performance are $5 for Adult General Admission.  Students are free.  All proceeds from the performance will go to the Lifeline of Hope Family Services program which “Hits the Streets” on the fourth Saturday of every month providing personal care items to homeless and displaced persons living on Dallas city streets.   Lifeline of Hope volunteers will be on hand at the performance to accept donations of personal care items  (in lieu of the $5 ticket price) including; flash lights, batteries, backpacks, $5 McDonald’s Gift Cards, healthy snack and more.

Seating is limited. For tickets go to ArtsDeSoto.com or  call 972-230-9648.
