DeSoto ISD has always been about the family atmosphere and Homecoming should truly be about the student alumni, family and friends coming home!

This year, DeSoto ISD is encouraging alumni to check out not just the football game on Friday night, but all of the other great events taking - the Foundation Golf Tournament, the annual Homecoming Parade and the DeSoto Living! Event at the Town Center.

“We have a pretty amazing group of alumni, but we need to do better at reaching out to them and making them feel included, especially at Homecoming,” stated Dr. David Harris, Superintendent of Schools. “We are working with some key alumni individuals, but really want to extend the invitation to all our former students to attend the game, participate in the parade as the graduating Class of , get a golf foursome together for a round at Thorntree Country Club or just join us at the DeSoto Living event. We need our alumni to return to DeSoto, to connect and network, provide examples for our current students and give back to the district that was part of their youth.”

ALUM RELATIONS:

• DeSoto alumni and their families are invited to the field after the game for an
  all-alumni photo
• The district will have name badges for alumni to fill out their name and graduation year at a special alum relations table
• We are considering a new DeSoto HS Alumni shirt for sale during the week plus tailgating opportunities with the booster program

The theme this year is Winning: The deck is stacked in our favor!
