Pollo Tropical, the fast casual restaurant known for its citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken and comfort-food-gone-Caribbean sides like corn souffle and balsamic tomatoes, celebrates its 15th Dallas-area location with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 21, at 1309 E. Pleasant Run Road in DeSoto. 

Doors open to the public at 10:30 a.m., and the first 100 guests at the festivities will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win Free Chicken for a Year.* The first 100 customers receive a free meal coupon valid for their future visit.

“The Dallas area has enthusiastically embraced our island-inspired cuisine since we opened the first DFW location in Addison two years ago,” said Pollo Tropical Chief Operating Officer Danny Meisenheimer. “We invite all of our new neighbors in DeSoto and the surrounding area to join us at the grand opening celebration for food and family fun.”

The 3,700-square-foot restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to midnight daily, and will feature indoor and outdoor seating for more than 90 guests, with limited table service and a convenient drive-thru. Kids eat free at Pollo Tropical every Tuesday from open to close with the purchase of an adult entree.
