NEW LIFE IN CHRIST CAREGIVER’S CORNER

Coming in September:

The Memory Café will have their first meeting on September 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in DeSoto. The facilitator for this group will be Ms. Frances Vasquez from the Alzheimer’s Association. The Memory Café is designed for those with early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and/or other dementias along with their families.

Our next caregiver’s meeting will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at our regular time, from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. At this meeting, the Macedonia Project of the ELCA Synod (consisting of three churches: Lord of Life Lutheran Church - Glenn Heights, Four Mile Lutheran Church - Mabank and NLIC) will prepare and provide caregivers with a luncheon. This is their way of showing their love for caregivers. We would ask that everyone who will be attending, call the church at 972-296-2035 by September 9 to confirm your attendance. Your confirmation is needed so that the group can have ample food. If no one answers, please leave a voicemail message.
